Fringing the world’s oldest rainforest, the Tekam Plantation Resort is an ideal jump-off point to the wilds of central Pahang. This well-appointed resort is your best bet for a comfortable stayThe rooms at Tekam Plantation Resort. within the peaceful ambiance of a tropical plantation.

Strategically located just a few kilometres out of Jerantut town, the Tekam Plantation Resort is owned by Malaysia's Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), which, incidentally, is the the world's largest successful rural resettlement scheme. Spread over a large area of plantation land comprising rubber, oil palm, cocoa and tropical fruit orchard, the place has nicely matured into a verdant country retreat. From the resort, popular adventure destinations such as the Taman Negara National Park, the caves of Gunung Senyum and the mysterious Kota Gelanggi cave system are easilyGolfing at Tekam Plantation Resort accessible.

Added to these is a string of quaint rural Pahang backwater settlements such as Sungai Jerik -- an old turn-of-the century jungle settlement where time almost stands still and a large Hindu temple complex where the biggest Thaipusam festival outside of Kuala Lumpur's Batu Caves is held each year. Educational Plantation Tours can be organised for groups. Jungle trekking, fishing, rafting, canoeing and various other recreational facilities make this place an interesting destination.
