The raging waves of Pantai Sepat beach.

At longitude N 030 42' 02. 0" and latitude E 103o 20' 16. 0" is Pantai Sepat near the village of Tanjung Sepat, about 10 km from Kuantan. It is located on the Tanjung Lumpur / Cheruk Paloh road from Kuantan that leads also to the royal town of Pahang, Pekan.

Pantai Sepat is still pristine in the sense that it is not that well-known among people outside the area. Most visitors to the place are either locals or day trippers from Kuantan. The long stretch of beach, sun, sea and sky is an exhilarating vista to behold on a perfect day. Different from the other beaches that may look 'tame' at its edges but drop steeply into deep trenches just metres from the shoreline, Pantai Sepat has a gradual incline. This makes it safe on mostPantai Tanjung Sepat occasions for children and non-swimmers to wade in. However, given the unpredictable nature of the sea, it is be wise to take extra caution, nevertheless.

The ambiance at Pantai Sepat is quiet and peaceful, which makes it just the location for a great picnic and rest. At times the beach may look rather unkempt with detritus washed ashore by waves, but such is nature. So long as the place is not being run down by indiscriminate dumping of garbage and heaps of non-biodegradable stuff, Pantai Sepat is destined to become another great lure for Pahang beach fanatics.

Before reaching Pantai Sepat you will first reach Kampung Peramu, and further on, Kampung Kempadang. Upon reaching the junction that forks out to Pantai Sepat (indicated by road road signs), take a left and keep straight on to the beach itself.
