The raw but enticing sweep of Pantai Chendor.

The soft white sand beach of Pantai Chendor is just great for beach walking, to while away the hours or just to be far away the madding crowd. Chendor beach is located next to Kampung Cherating and is actually contiguous with the beach at Cherating.

The seafront is beautiful  and quiet on weekdays but sees the normal invasion of locals  during weekends and public holidays.

You can feel the tranquillity while lazing under the swaying casuarina trees and looking out to the sea. The gentle sloping beach, cool breeze and rustic village setting makes Pantai Chendor a sure-fire prescription for the tired soul.

Besides being an excellent location to swim in the sea and laze under the sun, Pantai Chendor used to be among the favourite spots to watch the giant leatherback turtles nesting and laying their eggs on the shore at certain times of the year, normally during early May to October.
