Pantai Batu Hitam, which is just slightly further up from Kampung Beserah on the old road to Terengganu is one of a kind beach destination by reason of its peculiar black rocks on the beach.

Besides the modest and affordable Black Stone Resort Resort (also known as Gazma Resort or Pantai Batu Hitam Beach Resort), there are no other hotels and resorts around. The beach is best experienced in the late afternoons just before sunset, when it is quiet and peaceful.

Locals frequent the spot where the black rocks are located to fish. There must be something good there as some of them brave the strong waves and ragged edges of the rocks and venture out further to sea to cast their fishing lines.

A nice promenade with a look out tower lies adjacent to the Black Stone Resort. A food court with stalls selling drinks and Malay food is located a few metres next to the Pantai Batu Hitam Resort.

Public restrooms and showers available.
