Evening at the lake

The river meets the sea at Kempadang beach

Discover this quaint and  unpretentious budget resort situated at the edge of Kampung Kempadang. Located approximately 8km from Kuantan town via the Tanjung Lumpur - Pekan route, this unassuming resort is basic but not spartan, comfortable but not luxurious. Personally, I'd recommend the place for a sedate and tranquil escape if you don't mind  not having a designer swimming pool, luxury coffee house serving the same repast and the trimmings which you pay for but never get to use!One of the chalets at Kempadang Beach Resort

Comprising a cluster of 38 wooden chalets, with some air-conditioned and some with fan, the rooms are currently priced at a promotional rate of RM70.00 to RM150.00. Choose from 8 units of Family Chalets, 16 units Superior Chalets, 4 units Deluxe Chalets, and 10 units Standard Chalets.

Facilities include a basic Coffee House in a double storey bungalow, banquet and barbeque facilities for an exciting evening by the lake. Recreational activities to partake include :

- Canoeing and Boating at the lake
- Beach Volleyball
- Beach Football
- Scuba-diving off Kempadang Coast (minimum 5            persons per trip - subject to the availability of the dive operator)
- Coastal Fishing (can be arranged with local fishermen - day trips only)

Staying here is a refreshing experience, although to find your way here can be quite mindboggling. Best that you call ahead and ask the staff to quide you in. You can do lots of exploring of the environs at Kampung Kempadang. Wake up early, catch the serenity of the village mornings. Have a great local breakfast at the village - I'd recommend the Warung Nakabu. The warung serves good Malay roti canai (made by the Encik Alias, the owner) and nasi minyak in the mornings. For great seafood, the famous Malay seafood centre at Tanjung Lumpur is only about 6km from here. Nearest attraction include the Tenun Pahang DiRaja at Kampung Soi, where the famous Pahang Royal Silk is produced.
