Except for a couple of authentic homestays,
most of the accommodation offerings in Janda Baik
come, invariably, in the form of resorts and
adventure camps. Therefore, it is not too far off
the mark to categorise them as akin to homestay,
given the friendly, family-like ambiance of most
of the operations, but minus the rural immersion
part.
However, for what you may
have missed out, the solitude within the sedate
jungle ambiance compensates by offering a peaceful
escape. A great place for a short break without
having to travel far, if you come from Kuala
Lumpur. Just about an hour's drive. Due to
publicity over-kill, Janda Baik can be a hectic
place during school holidays and weekends. So,
if you have the time and wish to truly enjoy the
quiet in this hidden valley, try to saunter over
on a weekday.
