Discovered in 1885, Cameron Highlands stands at 1,829 metres above sea level. This cool, calm and picturesque mountain retreat promises a fusion of diverse activities and pastimes. The fresh mountain air will reveal just how treasured this mountain hideout is, especially for those who want to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the cities.

Taman Sedia, a Malay settlement in Cameron Highlands offers 'homestay' accommodation. The 28-acre village, located about 1 km from the town of Tanah Rata has all the amenities of any modern settlements such as shops, restaurants and handicraft outlets.

HOMESTAY ITINERARY
 

Day 1

  • Welcome Ceremony (with the accompaniment of a
    kompang (a traditional percussion instrument)).
     

  • Activities with local folks
     

  • Malay village-style dinner
     

  • Culture performances

Day 2

  • Visit tea plantation / tea factory,
    flower garden, vegetables farm,
    butterfly farm, cactus valley.
     

  • Lunch
     

  • Jungle trekking.


     

Day 3

  • Breakfast with foster parents.
     

  • Activities with foster parents.
     

  • Lunch.
     

  • End of programme.
